PhD Student Lin Receives 2019 Congress Conference Scholarship

Yufen Lin, PhD student, was recently awarded a 2019 Congress Scholarship by the Oncology Nursing Foundation to attend the 44th Oncology Nursing Society's (ONS) Annual Conference.

Her abstract “Physical, Psychological and Cognitive Symptoms Experienced by Patients with Gastric Cancer: An Integrative Literature Review,” has been accepted for the poster presentation at the ONS Congress. She will also be recognized as the recipient of the scholarship through a photo display in the convention center during the conference and other promotional initiatives as they arise.

The conference will provide Lin with the opportunity to learn the latest cutting-edge knowledge on research design, data collection, data analysis and dissemination. Attending the conference will help her learn the latest research and practice in cancer, update her oncology-related knowledge and techniques and network with other oncology nurse scientists. Presenting her poster will enable her to get feedback and comments from other researchers, which will help her disseminate her research through high-impact oncology journals. Additionally, she plans to utilize new knowledge obtained from the conference for her future research (i.e., dissertation), and share the information with other faculty and Ph.D. students.
