A great opportunity: join us for classes geared towards spoken Spanish and tailored to your needs.
Starting on September 25 through December 7 (Thanksgiving week off)
10-week courses are offered by El Centro Hispano in collaboration with Duke School of Nursing and the Latino Health Project at Duke University.
Two-hour classes will be held weekly as follows:
Level 1: No previous Spanish knowledge required
- Monday 5:15-7:15 at Duke South Clinic, Durham NC 27710
- Tuesday 3:00-5:00 at Duke Regional Hospital, Durham NC 27704
Level 2: Prerequisites: Basic grammar, verb Ser and Estar, parts of the body, medical vocabulary
- Monday 3:00-5:00 at Duke Regional Hospital
- Wednesday 5:15-7:15 at Duke South Clinic
Level 3: Prerequisites: Present tense, numbers, direct and indirect pronouns, medical vocabulary
- Thursday 5:15-7:15 at Duke South Clinic
Level 4: Prerequisites: Verbs past tense and command, idiomatic expressions, medical vocabulary
- Monday 5:15 - 7:15 at Duke South Clinic
