DUSON Receives the 2017 NCESGR Above and Beyond Award

Duke University School of Nursing recently received the North Carolina Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (NCESGR) Above and Beyond Award for its outstanding support of the National Guard and Reserve. The NCESGR is a Department of Defense Agency led and operated by dedicated volunteers and staff whose mission is to gain and maintain employer support for Guard and Reserve Service Members by recognizing outstanding support, increasing awareness of the Uniformed Services Employment Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), resolving conflicts through mediation and developing initiatives to increase employment opportunities for military service members, veterans and families.

Brigit Carter and Diane Uzarski attended the award ceremony in Greensboro, NC and received the award on behalf of DUSON.
