PhD alumna Mariam Kayle was recently awarded the American Sociey of Hematology (ASH) Abstract Achievement Award for her abstract entitled "Health Care Utilization Trajectories and Associated Factors for Transitioning Adolescents/Young Adults with Sickle Cell Disease." The ASH Abstract Achievement Award is a merit-based award for trainees with high-scoring annual meeting abstracts. Additional members of Kayle's team include Debra Brandon and Sharron Docherty. Additionally, Kayle was selected for a podium presentation at the upcoming American Society of Hematology meeting.
