Insight into Diversity highlighted the Student Success Center in a recent article titled "The 2020 Health Professions HEED Awards: Health and Wellness." The publication cited the center as an important factor in awarding DUSON a 2020 Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award.

The Student Success Center aims to promote mental health, provide emotional support, and connect students to resources at Duke and beyond. The Center is co-led by Dr. Brandon Knettel, assistant professor and licensed psychologist, and Dr. Sean Convoy, assistant professor and lead faculty in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Program.
