Whitmire and Rhodes Receive Commitment to Excellence Awards

Congratulations to Thomas Whitmire and Nanika Rhodes on being recognized for their Commitment to Excellence. This staff recognition program celebrates staff who demonstrate the highest standards in their commitment to supporting our mission, vision and values. "Thomas Whitmire totally deserves a commitment to excellence staff award. He works so hard on the closed captioning and he and Ramon always get us our mediasite conversions- he was incredible for Patho and the Patho seminars in Spring and Summer. Today, he embed my video clips into my iSimulate Teaching Conversation for tomorrow, and these really “make” the whole presentation." ~ Meg Carman

"I would like to recommend Nanika Rhodes for the Commitment to Excellence. While I was out for surgery, coming back with very limited mobility, and when my dad passed, she stepped up with added responsibilities and SON building issues that she normally did not handle. She handled several events that were time-consuming while maintaining her own workload. She assisted development for an engraving order as well as any building issues that I would normally handle. Nanika was able to work with the Card Office regarding any doors that had to be adjusted and badges that needed access and also handle access issues at Rutherford Street. Also, she handled all my adjusted calendar appointments and attended meetings in my place that could not be moved.  Nanika was able to handle everything with little supervision from Dave and without needing to consult me. She updated me with all issues and how it was handled. I did not have to worry about any business items at SON while I was out. I knew I could count on her to handle SON business and she proved me right." ~ Tina Leiter
