Work of Student, Alumni Featured in Student Government's Annual Report

The work on some students were highlighted in 2020-2021 GPSG Executive Committee Annual Report.

connor murrayaye sutherland headshotbrian roachkaitlyn daly headshotSome of the service work of Kaitlyn Daly, PhD student, and Brian Roach, Aye Sutherland and Connor Murray, all ABSN'21, did as part of the Graduate and Professional Student Government (GPSG) was highlighted in 2020-2021 GPSG Executive Committee Annual Report released by Jay Lusk, outgoing GPSG president. Their roles were: director of community pantry (Daly), director of finance (Roach), vice president for communications (Sutherland) and co-director of student life (Murray). 

Daly and Roach collaborated to ensure the effective functioning of the community pantry during COVID, and Daly also helped develop a food insecurity strategic plan and a long-term plan for the Community Pantry. (pages 11 and 12)

Roach was also acknowledged for his part in presenting virtual events, improving GPSG funding and transitioning the Lawyer Assistance Program to an all-virtual model. (pages 5, 6 and 10)

Sutherland was hailed for having "advanced an ambitious and successful communications plan and coordinated use of the GPSG website, GPSG newsletter and school-wide emails to keep the student body informed on critical developments in the University throughout the year" and helped produce videos on the Duke COVID-19 policy. (pages 8 and 20)

Murray was featured for his work in helping with arranging student events and actively posting updates on social media during COVID-19. (pages 6 and 9)
