Lisvel Matos earned her ADN from Central Piedmont Community College (2012) in Charlotte, North Carolina. She began her career as a staff RN working with adolescents in a behavioral health facility while earning her BSN from University of North Carolina at Charlotte (2013). During her time as a staff nurse, she became interested in becoming a nurse practitioner with the purpose to fill the growing need for diverse providers offering primary care to disadvantaged adolescent females.
