Margie Molloy, associate professor, has been on the standards committee International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL) and was on the teams that updated the Simulation Glossary and Simulation-Enhanced Interprofessional Education Standard.

The ABSN Program hosted its Commitment to Excellence Ceremony for its first semester students on Wednesday, September 22, in Classroom 1014.

Associate Professors Schenita Randolph and Ragan Johnson joined with community partners, Crystal Taylor and LaShea Stukes, in a recorded conversation highlighting the overall health of Black women in the U.S., disparities in health and health outcomes and inequities in health care.

Cristina Hendrix, chair of the Clinical Health Systems & Analytics Division, contributed to "Exploring the challenges and needs of home caregivers of hemodialysis patients in the Philippines: A mixed methods study" in "Nursing Forum." The study was funded by the Center for Nursing Research.

Allison Stafford, assistant professor, and Rosa Gonzalez-Guarda, associate professor, contributed to "Adverse Childhood Experiences and Depressive Symptoms among Young Adult Hispanic Immigrants: Moderating and Mediating Effects of Distinct Facets of Acculturation Stress" in "Issues in Mental Health Nursing." Gabriela Nagy, of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, also contributed. 

Youran Lee, PhD student, has been accepted into the Kenan Institute of Ethics's Race and the Professions Fellowship. 

Tolu Oyesanya, associate professor, and Gabrielle Harris, PhD'20, along with Callan Loflin, former DUSON clinical research coordinator, and Janet Prvu Bettger, former DUSON associate professor who's now with the School of Medicine, wrote "Negotiating the transition from acute hospital care to home: perspectives of patients with traumatic brain injury, caregivers and healthcare providers" in the "Journal of Integrated Care."
