Every nursing student, at some point, must decide which part they want to play in the nursing field. The first-semester Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing (ABSN) course, “Professional Nursing: Past, Present and Future,” helps the students make just that decision.

Abstract
Christian Falyar, assistant professor, and Stephan Bodnar, DNP '20, are featured on the cover of the December 2020 issue of the AANA Journal. Falyar is seen guiding Bodnar through the indications, sonanatomy and needle placement of a posterior transversus abdominis plane block during regional anesthesia training. Realistic patient care scenarios provide students valuable experience prior to their clinical education.

Abstract
The Beta Epsilon Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing recently held its annual ceremony. In addition, MSN student and ABSN alumni Emma Teman (pictured with Kathryn J. Trotter, associate professor) received the STTI Thelma Ingles Excellence in Clinical Expertise and Scholarly Activities award.
