Vice Dean, Finance and Administration
Michael V. Relf, Interim Dean, Duke University School of Nursing
THE ROLE: The Vice Dean serves as the Chief Financial and Administrative Officer within the school, providing oversight to the financial, budgeting, human resources, facility management, information technology, and space planning functions.
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate is a forward thinking, collaborative, and highly ethical financial leader with a minimum of eight years of significant fiscal management responsibility with direct oversight of areas of fiscal analysis, forecasting, borrowing, accounting, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting functions. Successful candidates will have a strong individual commitment to the School of Nursing’s mission of health equity and social justice, as well as extensive leadership experience in healthcare or higher education finance and/or accounting and an earned bachelor’s degree (an MBA preferred).

Associate Dean, Development and Alumni Affairs

THE ROLE: The Associate Dean is responsible for planning, developing, and directing a comprehensive fundraising and alumni relations program for the School of Nursing.
QUALIFICATIONS: The ideal candidate is a dynamic, entrepreneurial, and ambitious advancement leader with a minimum of 10 years of progressive fundraising experience and success leading a team of development professionals. Significant and successful experience developing and implementing fundraising programs in an academic health center or a complex healthcare organization is highly preferred. In addition, a bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.

THE ROLE: The Director of Admissions provides administrative management and coordination of enrollment personnel and functions at the School of Nursing.
QUALIFICATIONS: Requires minimum of three-five years of demonstrated admissions/recruitment/student service experience and leadership skills in a dynamic, complex service culture. Requires experience in process re-engineering, demonstrated leadership and motivation skills and proven ability to develop customer service strategies for serving internal and external customers.

THE ROLE: With wide latitude for independent discretion and judgement, provide a high level of confidential executive assistant support to the Dean, School of Nursing and Vice Dean of Faculty Affairs and Development. Anticipate the needs of the Dean on a daily basis. Responsible for central coordination of Dean’s Office activities and ensure timely flow of information to and from the Dean. Greet Dean’s guest and provide direction and assistance to faculty, staff, students, alumni, University community and visitors.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's Degree in a related area, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and professional experience, and working knowledge of administrative processes in healthcare and higher education.

THE ROLE: Plan, coordinate and administer activities of the Nurse-LEADS program, a training program for pre- and postdoctoral nurses focused on social determinants of health and health equity. With program leadership and trainees, develop and implement standard procedures, training, and facilitation of communication with key stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS: Work requires analytical, communications and organizational skills generally acquired through completion of a bachelor's degree program. Additional training in Project Management, Grant management, or related training is desired. Spanish speaking requirement for this role.

Clinical Data Specialist III, 245891
Wei Pan, Professor, Director of Health Statistics and Data Science Core
THE ROLE: Works with clinical research team members, including PIs, study coordinators, data analysts, and biostatisticians, to ensure that all aspects of the data management process are executed efficiently and accurately. Leads day-to-day operations of managing clinical research data for study teams at the Duke University School of Nursing (DUSON) supporting our shared goal of scientific integrity and the rigor and reproducibility of our research.
QUALIFICATIONS: Work requires a minimum of 3-5 years of research experience after the Bachelor’s degree, in clinical data management or a similar role in the research industry.

Clinical Research Coordinator, 250057
Schenita D. Randolph, Associate Professor and Principal Investigator, The HEEAT Lab
THE ROLE: This position will oversee and manage a Cluster Randomized controlled trial of Using PrEP, Doing it for Ourselves [UPDOs] Protective Styles: A salon-based intervention to improve HIV testing and PrEP uptake among Black cis-gender women funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research.
QUALIFICATIONS: Experience in research study and grant management preferred. Experience working with diverse populations, particularly Black cisgender women, is highly desirable.
