DUSON DNP Merit Scholarship
Students must apply for the Merit scholarship through the Admissions application prior to the priority admissions deadlines:

Late applications will not be considered. Essays must be submitted by the deadline and prior to being admitted to the program.
Prospective students applying to enter the Duke University School of Nursing for the first time in a Post-Master’s DNP degree program who meet eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply. The School will award two scholarships for new Post-Master's DNP students (one to a new fall 2020 student and one to a new spring 2021 student). Scholarships will cover $29,000 of required tuition ($5,800/semester for five semesters). Students must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States to be eligible for consideration.
The purpose of this scholarship program is to provide tuition assistance to outstanding individuals who demonstrate academic achievement, creativity and innovation, exceptional communication skills, and the potential for significant leadership in their professional endeavors. In a narrative (500 words or less, 12 point font, double-spaced), please describe how you meet these criteria and have had a significant and beneficial effect on others. Students who receive a Duke University School of Nursing Merit Scholarship are expected to remain in good academic standing throughout their program of study and, in collaboration with their Program Director, to contribute to the School in substantive ways.

Financial Aid Notification
Financial aid notifications for newly admitted students will be emailed within two weeks of acceptance. DUSON need-based scholarship is included in the financial aid notification if eligible. Merit scholarship decisions are emailed through the admissions system prior to the admissions deposit deadline.
