The Duke Center of Geriatric Nursing Excellence (CGNE) is an academic-practice partnership between Duke University Health System Nursing and the Duke University School of Nursing that aims to improve care and outcomes for older adults. The Duke CGNE's three objectives, in alignment with the strategic aims of both partners, are to:

enhance competence in providing "age-friendly" care within effective interprofessional care teams,

develop and test new models of care to improve outcomes for older adults across the care spectrum,

disseminate knowledge regarding Center-based projects and Center affiliates including, clinicians, faculty, staff and students to improve care and outcomes for older adults.
